Dear Shannen Doherty!
My name is Dmytro Drozdovskyi, and I am the editor of the Department of
literary criticism of the Ukrainian magazine of World Literature 'VSESVIT'.
www.vsesvit-journal.com
Also I am working for the department of culture of the best Ukrainian weekly newspaper 'Weekly Mirror' (www.dt.ua).
VSESVIT (which means in Ukrainian 'All the World' or 'Universe') is the
only Ukrainian periodical that publishes exclusive translations of world
classics and contemporary works of literature, covers different aspects
of cultural, artistic, social, and political life in all parts of the world.
VSESVIT monthly is the oldest and the most recognized Ukrainian literary
journal founded in 1925 by the prominent Ukrainian writers - Vasyl
Ellan-Blakytnyi, Mykola Khvyliovyi and Olexander Dovzhenko (a great soviet and Ukrainian filmmaker!).
VSESVIT is known for featuring One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel
Garcia-Marques, The Godfather and The Last Don by Mario Puzo, or
brilliant Ukrainian translations of Sir William Golding, George Orwell,
as well as oeuvres of Kafka, Zweig, Bekket, Faulkner, Joyce, Hemingway,
and bestsellers of Christie, King, Vidal, Haley, along with works of
other less known writers.
Nowadays we live in the open area of humanitarian problems that has no
borders and limitations. Obviously we have been involved in the
formation of the new discourse of the XXI century based on the
eco-informatics consciousness. In this way the international
co-operation in the realm of humanitarian studies (modern national
trends in literature, philology, arts, linguistics, philosophy all over the
world) is extremely important.
In fact, we would like to offer you our project 'LiteratureSphere' that both VSESVIT and 'Weekly Mirror' are interested in. The aim of this project is to unite humanitarians, artists, scientists from different regions, to have the transmission of feelings and ideas with people from abroad to have some humanitarian problems solved. We find this non-profit project very challenging and lucid. We hope that this can help to promote world literature and culture among the Ukrainians, and this can also lead to great results in future.
But first of all I must say that all your roles in various American films are works of real masterpiece. Your art is so lucid, bright, elegant, graceful, awe-inspiring, and you always look so beautiful and charming. Your roles are filled with powerful energy and genious talent that you have. In this way your point of view about the 'secrets' of actress masterpiece, you comments on the contemporary cinema trends in the US are extremely interesting to the millions of the Ukrainian readers who are your fans and who will be absolutely happy to read your voice in Ukraine. We remember your great role in Charmed, maybe your mostly remarkable role for the Ukrainian auditory. We would like to offer you our project and would like to ask you to answer the prapared questionnaire that will be translated into Ukrainian then and published in the media. You may have as much time as he need to answer the questionnaire.
