Did anyone else notice?

In an old episode Paige's dad sam dies when helping the girls vanchish the water demon but in a newer episode he's Paige's whitlighter charge. Am I missing somthing?

Sam was there mothers witelighter all the time... so after he dies he was so too... yeah u are right it is all strange... i gues...

he stopped history for repeating itself,save the girls and died instead of Prue...isn't that good??
