I agree with what everyone else has basically said. Her reaction was so unbelievable that it was rather shocking to me that the writers/PTB at Charmed actually had it play out like that. She hardly cried & seemed to get over the fact her sister & best friend was murdered pretty quickly. Kind of insulting to fans, especially after the special bond the 3 of them had, had been reiterated so much through the previous seasons.

Also, no offence to Alyssa's ability, but is it just me or does anyone else think the scene where Pheobe cries while talking to Piper about Prue's jacket seemed quite forced?

Not forced as such, as they made her hold it together for the funeral.
Such bad writing, and the writing got worse. At least with 1-3 if the writing was off, the acting hid it a bit better.

I felt for Rose, she said she cried each time it was picked up for a new series. bless her

It was an interview that Rose McGowan did, she stated she cried when it was picked up. I think after the second year she had been playing Paige.
