Executive producer of 90210, Gabe Sachs, recently spoke to The New York Daily News about various aspects of the new show.
Unsurprisingly, a lot of the interview focused on the return of Shannen Doherty. What will Brenda Walsh be like years later?
"Brenda will show a lot of growth," said Sachs. "What we were really concerned about was when that character came back, what would she do? Would she be nice? Would she be angry? I think you'll be pleasantly surprised."
How about the show overall? The original program was essentially an hour-long public service announcement every week. Have sex and get pregnant! Drink before turning 21 and get into a car accident!
Will The CW's 90210 preach to viewers in such a way?
"There will be important stories, but I don't think we're going to hammer you over the head," Sachs said. "There will be consequences to their behavior, but I think we'll be able to show it in a natural way."
